KILTWALKS

Join #TeamPMH for Scotland's Biggest Walking Event!

The Kiltwalk returns for 2025, and they are happening across four Scottish cities. It’s the perfect adventure for families and a group of friends to sign up and raise funds to help Parenting Mental Health support, inform and skill every parent or carer of a young person with mental illness and other support needs with the tools needed to feel confident and included with their child’s wellbeing journey.

There are three walking lengths to choose from:

  • £20 – The Mighty Stride (18 – 23 miles)
  • £20 – Big Stroll (around 14 miles)
  • Adults £13.00 and children £7.00 for the The Wee Wander (3 – 5 miles)

Distances vary depending on which city you choose.

When you sign up to a Kiltwalk event, select Parenting Mental Health as your nominated charity. Once you’re registered a member of the fundraising team will be in touch to help you get started with fundraising. There is no minimum sponsorship required, you can raise what you can for PMH!

It's a scientific fact that regular physical activity and exercise can make us healthier and happier.

When we're active, the body releases feel-good hormones that can improve our mood and boost our energy.

Other benefits of exercise for mental health include:

  • boosting our self-esteem and confidence
  • increasing motivation and focus
  • reducing tension, anxiety, stress and mental fatigue
  • helping to calm the mind, especially when dealing with difficult emotions like anger, frustration and sadness
  • reducing loneliness by offering new ways to get together with family and friends and meet new people*

So whether it’s a wee wander with your wee ones, or the mighty stride with your loved ones, sign up to take on the Kiltwalk today and support your mental wellbeing too.
